  • Deep Ruby. Deep red and black fruits on the nose. Whiff of violets. Spice and a light notes of herbs. On the palate: Medium-full. Black cherry and cassis. Black pepper. Dried mint. Smoke. Minerals and cinnamon. Fresh. Nice structure. Tannins well resolved and just a medium grip now. Raspberry. Very nice length. This was much calmer and more open (enjoyable) on night 2 (still really liked it night 1, but needs air at this young age). So this is very nice, but very young.

  • Clear light medium red. Medium intense nose, black cherry, smoked meat, berry and spice. Dry balanced cherry, spice and broth flavours and a dry balanced red fruit finish.

The future for this is bright but it will always be balanced and elegant.

  • Whoa, crazy wine. Upon opening, the barnyard and brett on the nose is quite strong. Eventually blows off but definitely still on the palate. Elegant, yet deceptively powerful. Flavors of dark plum, meat, smoke, chocolate and mocha. Very well put together wine. Nice journey with a long lasting finish.

  • Ooo La Laaa... how many ways can I mistake a wine.

I had an older Jasmin at Post Ranch, overlooking Big Sur, with Mom after Dad died. She had never seen the Pacific.

Day 1... this was not that wine. And I was puzzled.

Day 2.... I began to understand that given its youth, some patience is required, as it -began- to unfold

Day 3.... maybe I will update this...

  • I read several reviews saying this was tannic and needed a decant so I gave it a dbl vspin which was a mistake as the tannins were very chillaxed. Lots of fresh red raspberry, very little of the expected black pepper. Some violets. Enjoyable but not what I was expecting.
