The nose was intense and spicy with exotic floral perfumes, peach, crushed stone and hints of Indian spice. On the palate, I found oily, weighty textures, offset by a stunning mix of acid and saline minerals, as notes of ripe peach and honeydew melon coated the senses. The finish was medium-long with lasting notes of ripe apple and inner florals.

A private lunch (Restaurant Vermeer *, Amsterdam, NL): Magnum. Honeyed, rich, sweet, fresh, concentrated, powerful bitters, red fruits, very good length. Impressive but not subtle or charming.

Fine Vines Fall 2018 Portfolio Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Peach, peach cobbler, dried apricot. Fun with good density, good length, even if slightly simple. How will complexity develop?
