First try on this vintage, this was not sinning, get me right .. it's good but was very closed, massive structure for a Beze, it had an almost Bonnes Mares thickness, If served blind I would have gone to Morey. Even after 6 hours the wine was still closed but had so many aspects, guess it will beeing stunning later on, based on this excample do not touch before 2027 and give this a lot of air Drink 2027-2040

Medium body. Dark fruits. On initial open this was quite out of balance with excessive acidity. It then regained composure about an hour in, but the tannin needs to mellow. There is a nice mix of dark fruit, steuctire and minerality here. I will likely open next bottle in 2024.

Much better than expected for one of the so-called lesser years proving the old adage that you should buy grand crus in the lesser years when the terroir is able to shine when compared to lesser sites. This is brooding with dark fruits, smoke and liquorice. Although the wine is drinkable now, it clearly needs many years to develop to its full potential. A definite buy at the price as it is only a matter of time before these wines head off into the Burgundy price stratosphere as Drouhin-Laroze wines are at a different quality level than they were historically

Jim brought this beauty for lunch after nice golf game. It was quite simple and light but oaky.

Respectable dark fruit and spice. Great balance, and depth, but really no excitement for a GC.
