Ye Paulee (Hao Noodle): Jeroboam, out of only four made. Similar with previous two observations, even very consistent, stylistic Bizot nose but the palate is slightly thin. 93-94

"Casual DRC BYO": 1696 bottles, 35 magnums and 4 jeroboams. Less weighty than the last bottle (root day), but incredible perfume still with just the freshest strawberry and minty/herbal notes to take it up an extra level, which took a few hours to reveal, nonetheless. Firm and silky tannin, high acidity, just some stem towards the back of palate. Did not stand a chance against DRCs, just a great village. 94+

Served in blind. Amazing aromatics but lean and tart on the palate. Called it a 2013 Bizot VR in blind. Close enough but absolutely absurd at current market price. Buy a Liger Belair or Leroy instead. Nose alone is 94-95 nevertheless.

I was curious where this wine would be. I’ve had the village vosne bottling a few times and it always left me wanting on the palate despite the gorgeous nose. Fortunately the Jachees is a big step up. Seamless textured pure fruit that weaves effortlessly into a long distinct finish. While almost completely primary and red fruit based on the palate right now it’s supremely delicious. The nose is as good if not better than the vosne. Spicy stem, deep fragrant red fruit, hint of smoke.

1696 bottles, 35 magnums and 4 jeroboams. Incredible perfume, the best Bizot nose to date. Herbally juicy cherry, opulent spice, cool mint, sweet fruit, very lightly embedded pyrazine just to bring up the freshness. Cacao, caramel and vanilla. The stem greeness—oh I love it in Vosne. Ever so lightly smoky, really at a delicately striking balance. Profound and mellow on palate, juice with incredible depth. 95-96
