Enchanting, exuberant and delicate floral aromatics. Palate is light as always but there's enough there to entice. (1116 bottles, 30 magnums and 3 jeroboams)

Opened at 10am and left in cellar, drank at dinner. This started with a subtle beautiful floral nose characteristic of Bizot. On the palate tannins were certainly more resolved than the 2018 VR we just PNP due to the slow ox but this was always quite restrained compared to the 2014 VR and the 2017 VR we had opened. Lots more layers compared to the VR but the potential barely demonstrated tonight. Revisit beyond 2028

The first whiff is absolutely gorgeous. Deep and driven by lovely fruit with strawberry and cherry notes standing out. It's very showy and pure at this stage. The oak is there but not super evident and overall it feels very well balanced with nice acidity, a bit more of (wild) strawberry and forest notes. There's a lot going on and again the purity of the fruit is striking. Very long finish. Outstanding wine that is already drinking so well young. It will only get better with time. 96+
