  PnP. Approachable wine that added a fraction of weight by the final glass. Inviting aromas of place and grape, with avg+ complexity, a medium, understated body and developing length. May be at its best in the mid-term. Proper. HOLD for a few more years. highly recommended

  With a free beautifully early drinking 2017s I was hopeful for this wine. Whilst attractive I believe this is shouting for more time. Doesn’t have the round finesse that I love in Volnay.

  The color is a beautiful transparent ruby, but don't be misled: there is a meatiness to this wine that belies its origins. The delicate perfume of violets, strawberries, and herbs paves the way for deeper and more robust notes on the tongue: raspberries and cherries, but also stone, prune, mushroom, and forest floor. The acidity is strong without overpowering, lending some finesse to warm, unobtrusive tannins which let this wine linger long on the tongue. This is a wine that will benefit from age, but is no less amazing now.
