Very pale, almost clear. Gentle warm fruit and light spice. Honey spice, gentle oak, peachy fruit. Delicate tightly coiled and with good length. Tasty drinking.

Juicy Chardonnay, not that I recall ever saying that before. Ripe fruits, white peach, honeydew melon, hints of pineapple. Acidity still quite fresh, palate is lush and balanced with hints of spicy oak. Very very smashable indeed, especially with the charcoal chook done on the Weber rotisserie tonight. Enjoyed this a lot. Best chardy I’ve had a quite a while. Holding up well, no real tertiary notes yet.

Young spirited Chardonnay at is best. Straw to green/light yellow in colour. Very bright and youthful. Spirited acidity. Lemon, green apple, minerality, and herbs. Taut with a slight drying even savoury finish - perhaps a little salty Chablis like quality. Really engaging - found myself quickly heading back for a top up before others discovered it.

Hunter Whistlestop 2020 #3 (Hunter Valley): Medium plus intensity aromas are peachy though this is also quite rich with cream, plenty of caramel, stone fruit, riper tan normal with time in the glass it softens and lightens. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, textured, fruit is a little diminished, a little melon and pear skin bitterness. Hmm

Creamy, milk curd, lactic smell. Ripe & golden apple. Not shy. Oak spice makes an appearance with aeration. Strong vanilla streak; full and rich. Verging on old school style but has just enough freshness. Pretty oaky though, needs food! Good length. Honest, not trying to be Burgundy.
