Excellent, classy consistent wine. Colour: pale lemon Bouquet: citrus, ripe melon and vanilla oak, nutty Palate: incredibly rich fruit, same characters as bouquet, white peach, great balance of fruit, acid and alcohol, full bodied but leaner than the Folly style, very clean, dry long finish. No indication of age, as it's incredibly fresh. May 2017.

Frank and Ben's Birthday (The Devonshire, Devonshire Street, Surry Hills): Lemon over very slight lime marmalade, touches of honey, controlled butter and wet stone. Juicy with lemon and restrained spice with the buttery elements more to the fore…it's all rather subtle though and not really showing it's age (other than that honey note). Rather nice tending to yumptious. Ben says touches of mandarin and I'm inclined to agree.

A golden yellow in colour, the wine on the nose is still citrus dominant with lime zest and lemon blossom, there are also sour edged nectarine and buttered toast aromas coming through.
The palate has a steely acidity that is softened by melon and fig which are themselves tempered by restrained citrus flavours.
The finish has a mineral tartness with just enough melon character to balance it out. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2013-2016)
