Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • I last tried this in November of '21; still showing young, but if you like your Riesling young, this is drinkable. Faint peach notes on the nose, lighter-bodied with decent acidity on the palate. I like this, and prefer it to the Altenburg that I just opened from the same vintage. I've still got a few of these, and if I remember to do so, I will probably avoid opening another one for at least 3 years.

  • From a bottle opened two days ago.

This might even be better today, and I liked it on Friday as well. Still getting those ripe peach notes on the nose, with slate/rocks in the background. Vibrant acidity on the palate - I can't imagine why this wouldn't be capable of fine drinking for another decade, and I'm glad to have a few more in the cellar.
