Really quite lovely but relatively simple. It has a sweet fruit heart and just enough earth and florals to make things interesting. It looked fresh and juicy and will probably continue to gain a little complexity with further bottle age.

Mature red with a bit of browning. Light, sweet pinot scents with mild soil accents. Flavor profile is also light, but gentle sous bois and spice liven things up. Last bottle of a case purchased shortly after release, most of which was consumed awhile ago. This wine's best days are behind it but still pleasurable.

St Jacques Burgundy Offline (Tom's Kitchen, Chelsea): Pleasant, sweetish cherry fruit, nice acidity, some slightly gamey notes. Lacks a little concentration in comparison to the rest of the flight but a good, uncomplicated mature red burgundy.

Gevrey Chambertin Clos/Lavax/Estournelles St Jacques Offline (Tom's Kitchen, London): Soft, velvety. Delicate. Drinking nicely now. Lacks a bit in the finish. Lightish and least imressive of the first flight but lovely drinking. Quite pretty. 3.
