As QPR goes, this is pretty hard to beat. Nothing discordant or unpleasant - just straightforward, clean gamay. Strawberry, black cherry with a nice zip of acidity. Dusty tannin that is more dust than tannins. Lovely mouth feel and a bit of tart cranberry on the finish. Matched up beautifully with a home-made potato soup featuring bacon and onion. Perfect. But, of course, bacon....

Another delicious bottle. It is evolving nicely and has many good years ahead of it. It has a bit less structure, and is a bit richer and rounder, than previous bottles, especially on night two.

Always a fun and serious old vine Beaujolais from a hands off producer. Semi opaque almost purple color. This version like many before it displays recent vine picked freshness and juiciness. Dark fruit and underbrush aromas. Almost grapey in its freshness. Starts slightly tannic but soon smooths out while maintaining excellent lift. Dense blue to black fruit along with mineral, herbs a d spice. Very tasty. Paid $18 but this can easily be found for less than $15. A long time reliable Kermit Lynch selection and excellent value. At 13.5% alc is up a point from days past but didn't notice it.

Notes consistent with my previous ones of 5/29/20 and 6/19/20. Decided a slightly chilled red was just the ticket for the hot weather.
