Pop'n'pour at a cellar temperature (about 18C). Red and black berries, a slight touch of brett, some raw meat and herbs but also some mouthwatering milk chocolate-and-mint notes on the nose. On the palate, I find dark raspberries with a touch of red currant, herbs, green peppers, tobacco and more of that wonderful minty chocolate. Far more grown up that I remember and actually quite elegant in its given style/context. A really nice pairing with my ribeye steak. Glass: Riedel Veritas Merlot

Impressive Washington Bordeaux blend. Deep crimson hue and full-bodied with intense aromas of pencil shavings, spicy plum, new leather and earth. Bold and rich on the palate with dusty tannins and well-balanced acidity. Notes of black fruit, wild herbs and cocoa powder with a medium length finish.
