Tasted at a restaurant in Zermatt. Not decanted. Sour cherry, fine hints of iron, spice and herbs and a layer of dried meat. A clean and puristic bouquet, emphasizing terroir with captivating precision. The palate is polished and so immensely pure, perfectly harmonious with a satin texture and the acidity built expertly into the impeccable structure.

2018 Visit to Domaine Anne Gros with Julie Tollot (Vosne-Romanée): From vines many over 80 years of age, producing small berried, concentrated grapes at a yield of 20 hl per ha, Julie noted. Lovely, crunchy, mainly red berry, fruit. Clean, fresh and refined. A lovely bouquet of spices, florals and mainly red berry fruit. An excellent, relatively approachable vintage of this favourite cuvée on mine.
