  Had this with duck on grill and christmas food, and it managed fine. Still an expensive wine, and only buy on offer 249,-.
  Bouquet is promising, and taste is deep with long aftertaste that is very good. Aftertaste is best of this wine. A great wine to enjoy but not a typical CdP.
  Decanted the wine and it helped.
  
  La Bernardine er næsten udelukkende baseret på én druesort: Grenache, dog er der også tilføjet en anelse Syrah og Mourvedre. For at bevare så meget som muligt af frugten har den ikke lagret på egetræsfade. Udsøgt vin med en god sammensat bouquet af moden frugt med høj kompleksitet. Man vil muligvis kunne finde solbær, blomme, ristet kaffe og kirsebær i duften. Smagen fremstår først en anelse krydret med peber og lakrids, men går siden over i mere frugtrige toner. Fyldig og delikat med en varm og afrundet smag.

  Bright dark ruby red. Quite a dense, muscular nose. Dark plum, dense red fruit, a touch of vanilla, and an almost iron like note. Not too much floral tone or confection going on. So Grenache dominant, but the firmer expression of it. On the palate there is dark fruits and quite firm tannins. Just a hint of undergrowth as well. At around low to mid €30, this is pretty decent. I expect better in 2-3 years and should drink well for at least a decade.
