Dinner at Nude (Nude, MBFC, Singapore): Third time with this bottle. The last two were back in 2012. I really liked it back then, but this somehow was rather anonymous. It was clearly a Chardonnay, but it could have come from anywhere. Neutral white fruited notes and a lite citrus on the nose were met with neutral white fruit notes and a little citrus on the palate. Pleasant balance and good depth for a Bourgogne was a credit to the wine, otherwise there was nothing that stood out. Time to drink up.

By the glass at RPM Steak. The list said "Leroy" and I was too distracted to ask whether it was the Domaine or Maison bottling (oops). I'm gonna go ahead and assume it was the Maison. Moderately advanced golden colour. The nose is mostly dominated by ripe stone fruit aromas. The palate has the same ripe fruit character, but it's tempered by a moderate dose of minerality and lively yellow-toned acids (think golden apples). Excellent and approachable now.

A few oxidized notes, nut nothing disturbing. Loads of minerals and a very nice, creamy structure. Serious wine. Impressive how this has kept, but drink up, I would say. At BarMut, Barcelona, a steal for 48 euro.

(Leroy (Maison) Bourgogne Blanc) Pale golden. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and a faint oxidative note - though certainly not oxidised - together with high-toned alcoholic notes. Some sweetness in the mouth, racy and lithe, quite linear. Good persistence and surprisingly little obvious ‘97 character. Despite showing very little overt fruit character this is a young wine. Interesting and no rush to drink.

Bears little resemblance to a white burgundy at this point. Would cause chaos in a blind tasting
