Similar notes to last time. This is really pretty aromatically right now, but a little thin and acidic on the palate. Pair with a lighter chicken dish that's a little on the tart creamy side to balance it out. Aromatics are about a 93, palate about 85, so averaging to 89.

Drunk as part of a flight with the 2013-2018 Jadot Beaune 1er cru Theurons vintages. What all the wines had in common, contrary to my expectations, was an elevated level of coarser or rustic tannins - leading me to think these are all very ageworthy --- This was my favorite from the flight, but no one else's Gorgeous, perfumed, highly open compared to the 13-16 Underrated vintage

Like a lot of 17s, very approachable in its youth. Pop and pour, but notes from 1.5 hrs open. On the nose: violets, blackberries, wild strawberry, soft red earthy notes. On the palate: fantastic acidity, a touch of baking spice, good density, if leaning lighter in style, more nice red and black fruit and soft, finely grained tannin on the finish. Yum!

Raspberries, blackberries, violets, crushed stone... Light body, medium plus acid. Light fine tannin. This exceeded expectations. Really pretty wine. Drink it on the young side.
