2021 Jadotfest (La Trompette, London): First look at this since the 2015 BeUne & Savigny offline at Soif. Quite rich on the nose when opened, but a little more subdued in the glass two hours later. Lovely fullgarnet. Good fruit and balance. Something quite moreish but not quite the length — a seeming thoroughbred that pulls up a couple of furlongs short. Still, pleasant and quite engaging drinking. Just about ***1/2

Mid ruby to deep garnet at the rim. Quite a lot of sediment despite being stood up for a few days (but only ten days from delivery from storage). Bright, sharp red fruit balanced by mellowing autumnal sous-bois. Starts off quite light, but fills a little in the glass as expected to finish mid weight. Lacks some complexity perhaps, but a pleasing middling burgundy that does as expected. Very decent and absolutely no hurry. ***1/2

Nice dark ruby colour; fading at the rim but not browning. Light alcoholic blackcurrant nose, with some spice - slightly fishy ? Medium weight in the mouth with jammy fruit and gamey/earthy notes. Medium length. A classic, slightly austere burgundy.

Slightly more bricking than the 93 ursules it was paired with. Still so young but getting there!

Beaune & Savigny (Soif, Clapham): Vibrant bright ruby. Earthy strawberry nose. Nicely structured. Ok now but lots left in the rank. ***1/2
