Man, do I love autumn... And this wine really breathes the good/food life of the season. Dark, leafy, gamey, big luscious fruit core, spicy oak, coffe beans, bitter chocolate, heartwarming and comfortable. Genuine diner-table-stuff. Doesn't matter if you call it beefstew, brasato, Schmortopf or daube.. THIS is the wine to pour!
A concentrated wine with high viscosity. The bouquet is already great with ripe dark and red forest fruits, beautiful herbs and spices, some development, and a pleasant touch of barnyard. On the palate also a mature but still powerful wine with beautiful garrigue, some salty licorice, beautiful acidity and round tannin which is friendly and still youthful. Full bodied wine with a great length. Especially the bouquet is already a feast! Great sniffing and you discover something new every time. Really beautiful. Completely ready now, but this will drink nicely until at least 2018. 93+
A lot of structure in this wine. Still some positive development ahead of it. Notes of dark chocolate, black fruit, sweet licorice, garrigue and oak. Good acidity and significant but round tannins. A bit closed...
