How the palate can change. I used to be big on mt eden but am not so much anymore. This just completely lacked integration. I have had a number of bottles now and the american oak is consistently distracting for me. I double decanted it this time but I think it might do better on pnp.
I drank this sooner than I should have but couldn’t help myself since it sounded so good on a Sunday night. Same as my last note and other reviews, namely it is elegant and balanced with med+ acidity and smooth tannins that are present but will certainly integrate well in the next 5-10 years. And red fruits with a dill/herbal/menthol note which worked for me. I have three more bottles and will try to stay away for another 5+ years!

Popped and poured. Strong dill component in the nose to the exclusion of almost anything else. Pallet is marred by the same element. Will not rate at the present time, hopefully it blows off with time in the open bottle.

Not great. Should be $20. Opened 2 hours, lacking fruit. Had next day as well and still one dimensional.
