Big surprise! Dark berries with dark red berry energy and great spice- daft touch of oak - fine grain tannins. I think still has a pretty long way to go. Premier Cru purchase

Tasted over 2 hrs -med dark red purple no bricking -attractive plum dark fruit -med acidity emerges at the finish with an hour of air, med/med+ weight generous though fading simple dark fruit with a caramel oxidative note, med/med- tannins complement the oak note -generosity and balance of the vintage, extraction and oak of the producer, honest simplicity of the appellation - this is exactly what it should be, on its plateau with an anticipated slow decline

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -nearly opaque dark red-purple, no bricking -restrained sweet black fruit and smoky earth -med acidity kicks in late, med/med- weight, sweet black cherry not overt but prominent in the background of the relatively simple mid-palate, noticeable oak and slightly drying bitter tannins dominate the moderately long finish -has the fruit profile but not the exquisite balance typical of the vintage, enough fruit oak and tannins to suggest this really needs a few more years to reach a plateau but the dried out element puts that in doubt

What a delight for a Village. Clearly still a lot of wood, iron/blood taste (reminds me of Haut Medoc), slightly grainy tannins that stick to the back of your teeth, cherry fruit dominated, raw meat and earthy taste. Medium long aftertaste. Delightful and complex nose mainly sur bois and ripe fruit. Still need a couple of years to resolve its tannins. Served cool directly for bottle.
