From 375. Dark color. American oak and sweet fruit on the nose. In this format, it's drinking well. Still tannin that stood up well to pan seared rib cap. For me the oak at this point is a pleasurable (dare I say hedonistic) component complementing the (dare I say hedonistic) fruit. Excellent balance. Not the style of wine I usually drink, but excellent with the steak, and (dare I say) I should drink more like this.

Still too young. Best glasses were the last few after 6-8 hours in the decanter.

An uncompromising Cali Cab. Oaked and tannic. Very much to my taste, and to my mind now entering its drinking period.

About 10-15 years ago I got into Ridge Zinfandel’s and never realized they make a damn good Cabernet as well. Perfect match with grilled NY Strips.
