Third bottle from a half case purchased from a Dutch wholesaler in 2021. Grapefruit, subtle pyrazines, flower honey, gentle and rounded palate, but it never loses that sense of hardness on the finish.

Second bottle from a half case purchased from a Dutch wholesaler in 2021. Pristine bottle. Almost two years since my previous note, when the wine was still quite structured and a bit hard even. It has softened considerably, and it is now honeyed and silky, elegant and flowing, ripe but fresh, seamless and harmonious, with intricate flavours of citrus and orchard fruit and a whiff of pyrazine, but in the final analysis there still is something green on the finish. It's ready to drink, it will last, but I doubt that it will get any better.

Young. A very structured rendition of the Baron de L theme. Needs time to open up. Lovely tension between honeyed richness and vegetal freshness, quite firm bitters. Needs time, will have a very good career. Best on the third day.
