  Densely packed exciting stuff. Better on night 2 as it was a bit closed on the night initially. Nose if floral and elegant, but complex adding hints of blues to the red fruits. Palate shows considerable concentration but also focus and brightness. Fine tannic structure. Lengthy berry and chalky finish. As tasty as this is now has great structure to age.

  Drank over three nights, first two through a coravin and on the last night I popped the cork. The nose is red fruit. The palate is dark cherry, raspberry, a touch of cassis and a hint of baking spices. The finish is moderate too long.

  Opened, poured into a decanter, this first glass has had about 30 minutes of air. This wine is Pigeon blood ruby at the core and translucent throughout with about a 3oz. - 4oz. pour in a Grassl Cru stem. Scents of autumnal forest floor, high-toned red fruits, clove, & crushed stone. The palate is a wild ride, starting out very light bodied, as the acidity lengthens out the wine, the body builds in the midpalate just before the fruit crashes in and the tannin slowly rises to a long, dry finish.   This one tends towards caramel and chocolate notes, but still plenty of fresh black fruits.
  
  Very broad and lengthy. Great in its youth, but will age gracefully.
