Touch of honey to nose yellow stone fruit. Palate some lemon, melon, honey. Nice and concentrated with good salinity and chalkiness on finish. Very good.

I opened and first tasted this right out of the bottle at a cellar temp of about 50 degrees. It was very pretty and aromatic, but a bit more fat and round than I was hoping for. I decided to decant and throw it in the fridge for 90 minutes. When I pulled it out to drink, it had really come together nicely and was drinking great! The cooler temp brought the acidity forward and tightened things up a bit, while the fruit remained rich and weighty -- just exceptionally well balanced. Beautiful wine.

Burgundy Bachelor Party: Crisp mineral, clean and precise. The more air it got, the more the midpalate filled out. I prefer this to 2017 now, but expect roles will reverse in time.

Grand Cru White Burgundy Fest: Wide open and quite luscious. Lacking a bit of stuffing compared to the big brother next to it.

This vintage of Perrieres continues to impress. I loved it, as did my tablemates.
