A late disgorged magnum with a newer label. Judging label and cork I estimate this being released some 10-15 years ago. Dense, sweet with a subdued nose and lacking fruit and acidity. Disappointed after reading so many fantastic reviews of this wine.

Notes from memory late in the evening. Deep salmon and copper colour in the glass. Both sweet strawberry fruit and a more savoury character. Not as developed as toffee but has dark spice now. Still has some powdered sugar.

Champagne Brunch (@Terkel): Refreshing raspberry fruit with a lovely acidity. Also has some peach fruit and a lovely bitterness. Great acidity and lovely mature wine!

(Ruinart Champagne Dom Ruinart Brut Rosé) From magnum - light medium orange pink color with lots of speedy, tiny bubbles; toasty, truffle, dried porcini mushroom, light caramel nose; delicious, toasty, rich but poised, tart raspberry, tart cranberry, mineral palate with great acidity; long finish 94+ points

Oxidative with toffee and raspberry. Not enough vibrancy and complexity.
