Opened this bottle way to early…friend wanted some musty dusty frenchy wine. While only 5 years old upon previous experience thought it was the best option. Out on our deck 90 degrees out, the wine sang. Sweet raspberry and strawberry. No tannins low acidity all focus on the fruit. It was beautiful. Wish I had more but only have one bottle more….which won’t last long.

$50 - drinking 4/22 - very good wine! A little fruit on the front that smoothly transitions into some great tannins on the back end. I don’t do a lot of leather and smoke because I’ve never tasted leather…but it’s a great wine.

Domaine La Milliere Tasting (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Very slightly reductive initially, concentrated, red and black berries, peppery spice, lavender, garrigue, a little alcohol prickle, slight oak notes are controlled. Juicy, fleshy, fresh, savoury, garrigue, plenty of berried fruit a little tar, before talc textured tannic burr comes along, solid. Pleasant

Soft, medium-bodied, herbal and fruity, the wine is forward, easy to like and loaded with kirsch on the nose and palate. Fresh and lively, soft and refined, this will drink well young. The wine is a blend of 60% Grenache,10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Cinsault and 10% Counoise.
