This Merlot-based Right Bank Bordeaux wine is in a very good phase and ready to drink even at this age, although it will surely evolve in the coming years. The wine is fruity, full-bodied, nicely tannic, yet balanced, providing delicious notes of plum, blackberry, menthol and tobacco. You will hardly notice that the wine contains 15 % alcohol. I will open my next bottle after a couple of years.

Black cherry, black plum, black raspberry, toast, vanilla, tobacco. The palate brings a nice wave of fruit, with very strong, square tannin structure, adding notes of earth and cocoa to the equation. Ultimately this is too young, but the concentration and balance is very promising. Check on it in 3/4 years

The vibrant balance between black and red currants & full city roast is what makes this taste a full point lower than its stated 15%, and makes me forget it's a value wine. The only 'disappointment' is how open it is: isn't there supposed to be some struggle and discipline with Bordeaux? Oh well

PnP. Reddish purple with dark pink edge in color. Nose of cassis, plums, macerated raspberries and a hint of pyrazine. On the palate: raspberries, red apple skin, blueberries and vanillin. Long finish of red berries and sweet tannins. Was _starting_ to open after about 2 hours...will plan to decant for multiple hours or wait a few years before opening the next one.

Pretty nose. Delightfully old world. Still quite young. Oak is still pretty prominent. First bottle of a case. Open next bottle in 4 or 5 years.
