  • Big scent of cherries and smoke on opening the bottle. Very dark and concentrated in the glass. Full bodied and rich palate. Cherry, tobacco, smoke. Decent length finish and drying tannin. Oak is noticeable but not overly for me. Really enjoyed this

  • This wine always delivers. Rich, structured cherry, smoke bomb. No way my bottle goes dead at the finish as per note previous. I've read notes about "oak" being overtly present. Yes for Bordeaux but try some expensive Calis and see if you can't appreciate this oak. The tannins of France bite at the end keeping things in check and the potent smokey cherry wins out, not any raw wood.

  • Dark cherry, plum, crushed rocks, herbs and bitter chocolate. The palate is initially round and full with dark plush fruit, yet this wine is far from complete with an initial great mouth feel that fades off then comes back, waves of dark fruit, herbs and sandalwood, the flow is lacking a little integration, the mid palate and finish fade fast, every time I taste I am thinking damn this could have been so good, but boom drops like a lead ballon. Tannins are slightly grippy. Decanted for 2 hours. OK

  • Deep in color, the wine kicks off with a strong dose of oak before you find all of its chocolate coated black cherries, licorice, spice and smoke. Sexy and silky, the wine coats your palate with crushed rocks, dark red pit fruits and layers of chocolate. Give this a year or two for the oak to better integrate and this should be good to go. Drink from 2024-2038.

2025-2038 (April/Mai 2021)
