A very restrained, pretty, feminine pinot noir. Lively mouthfeel with flavors of fresh rose, cherry, raspberry, and black tea, washed down by creamy, spicy oak. This might get better over the course of the next year. Easy drinking and round - no rough edges here. Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Needed a little while to show its true colors but soon showed a nice balance of floral notes and sweet citrus. What stands out to me in this wine is the care the winemaker has taken to hold the wine back. The nose was both floral and sumptuous. The flavors contained the a mixture of orange blossom and honeysuckle with th expected rich and partly carmelized citrus notes but lacked the bitterness that often accompanies warm climate Pinots.

The Rosella's improves with age, becoming richer and more complex.

Pinot Days 2004 and 2005 Rosella's and Pisoni Comparison (Fort Mason in San Francisco): Dark in color, fruit driven, with a big push of plush fruit. Lacks some definition for me @ this stage but shows great potential. Guessed Bernardus, as it seemed similar in color and style to the 2004.
