  Classic savagnin but deeper golden hue. Immediately noticed a funky/gaseous smell on opening, along with ripe fruits like apples & apricots. A bit of forest floor & minerality as well. Medium intensity and acidity, again with ripe fruit. Creamy texture and long soft finish. The wine continued to open up and shed some of the original funky smell.
