Still tight and tannic. Upon opening almost undrinkable, but a few hours of air made it settle. Quite typical of Barolo. Dense, dark red fruit, some herbs, leather, tar, and rose petals. Hints of cinnamon, yeast, and bread. Long, with a very drying finish.

Approachable compared to most 17’s. On the lighter side with less tannin and acid than expected. Black plums, leathery cherry, mint, wood and mineral. I would have guess this was at least 5 years older given the color and approachability. No rush but not for the long long haul.
