So much life left in this baby. I love well- stored aged Nebbiolo from good producers - resolved tannins, long, lingering finish and the classic roses and tar. A hit!

Roses, beef broth, darker nebbiolo fruit, with savory/ mineral/ earthiness more than florals on the nose. On the palate, more beef broth, bouillon, dense and serious, savory Barolo. Overall, this is a structured wine, especially in context of vintage. It seems to hit a nice balance with the style blending with the vintage to add to a more complete wine. Classically proportioned, with its tendency for austerity balanced by the softer edges of the vintage. At peak and outstanding.

Should have stood it up for more than a day, still had fine sediment. This bottle is fully resolved. Nice sweet aroma, but very little tartness left. While there are echos of classic barolo this bottle is past prime and I would drink up others if you have them. It was however quite balanced and enjoyable as an old wine can be.

Cranberry, floral, tar, cacao, and a touch of volatility. Quite high-toned and pretty but far from profound.
