A beautiful and for sure fully mature Chardonnay, the 2001 Bannockburn delivers an abundance deep minerals and sense of fresh corn so often found in good Chardonnay. Elegant tones of oak, lychee and lime zest adds to the experience. The balance is incredible and the integration is astonishing. A lovely Chardonnay. There is no reason to refrain from drinking! (score is 92-93)

Still drinking very well. Nice balance. Apple and some peaches with a lovely finish. One of the better NZ chardonnays which I have tasted. However, I don't think it has much more to offer in terms of ageing and is really at its peak.
