Decently good. There was a touch of sulphur on the nose at first, but that blew-off to show an attractive nose of yellow fruited melons and cream along with whiffs of white mushroom and popcorny new oak. Not quite enough to distract, but the wood was definitely there. The palate had a nice grip and balance to it, with fresh notes of apples shading into sweeter yellow fruit and tropical notes - almost pineapple here - and again a little touch of oak towards the finish. Nothing to shout about about, but this was a decent, well-made Chardonnay.

Brighter color with green accents; sulfur initially but this quickly dissipates, deeper richer nose than the Bergstrom, creamy, noble, oak but well integrated, chives, some green adds great Burgundian edge to the wallop of lemon, crisp and refreshing, mineral on nose and palate, layered; a doppelganger of really good Burgundy.

Served well chilled which I feel should help; no reduction or sulfur which was promising, lemon galore, deep and rich, would have thought this was good white burg, slight honey to the fruit though still youthful, lots of richness and mouthfeel in the way of dry extract, special stuff; should last longer but it may be hard to keep hands off.

This one was fun. A bold chard expression. Unabashed nose just leaps from the glass. Shared with a friend who has also traveled through Otago and appreciates the power of both the pinots and chards from the area. Given the impact of the nose, wine settled into a surprisingly balanced midpalate. Wine flavors had some early/tart apple, leesy grape must, asian pear thing lingering. Could hold longer, has structure.
