Continuing on our journey searching for a relatively affordable Rhone, we are now into the Northern appellations. Disappointed by today's choices including this $50 bottle. Herbaceous with notes of artichoke, olive and even hay. It has a little yeast or bread flavor that finishes a little sweeter. It is subtle to the point of being a little thin.

Drank too young. Initial taste showed lots of tannin, but after sitting for a short while, wine started to open. Should wait a few years on remaining bottles before trying them.

Good wine, but needs just a short time to oxidize to lose the dryness at the finish.
