Very curious. The bottle had been left to stand for a couple of days - and then decanted carefully through a decanting funnel . What emerged was the palest of liquid. What was left in the bottle was massive flakes of dark red sediment - an almost complete separation and not something I've experienced before. Meanwhile the port itself was spirity with some fruit, but a curiousity rather than an enjoyable drink.

Huge port. Meaty, leather, tobacco notes. But well structured fruit with some tannin still on the back end. Could confidently cellar for several more years. Finnish lasts for several minutes.

Oxidised, more like a bad tawny port. No fruit just heavy sherry aromas. Not sure what happened as the bottle was pristine. From 375ml.
