Encouraging pale yellow, but vibrant color. Not a powerhouse, a subtle and pure CC. Hints of sweet oak, an herbal essence, like fresh garden herbs, and hints of vanilla and peach. Nicely balanced. It's not terribly long or complex, seems good to go and a nice Chardonnay on a cool night outside with roast chickens.

Very pleasant but slightly faded. Lacks the intensity and depth of a great Corton Charlemagne. Still wonderful, with notes of toasty oak, vanilla and white flower. 90-91. Nice long finish.

Gorgeous again - very subtle wine. Beautiful purity, with notes of warm oak and white flower. Great mouth and nice long finish, Drink soon, has a little fading of fruit, but still wonderful.

Saturday Lunch with Friends and Wine (Beacon Tavern - Chicago IL): As ripe and rich as the last bottle from the same case opened one year ago, but far more mature. Good power and concentration, but slightly more advanced than Grand Cru should be at this age.

Corton-Charlemagne at the Lieu-dit Cru Annual(ish) Blind White Dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Served blind in flight. Floral start with some mint, licorice and ripe orchard fruit. Very well done, nicely balanced. Drinking beautifully, I wouldn't expect further upside, but this should drink well for close to another decade.
