  Absolutely gorgeous aromas from pop and pour. When very chilled the nose is muted, but within 30 minutes a plethora of signature notes ranging from flowers, grassy notes, stone fruit, guava comes forth in the glass. The acidity is intense at first (suggesting this is still way too young) but mellows with food and harmonizes particularly with richer sauced seafood (oysters with a rich sauce is a very nice pairing). A very very classy and elegant wine otherwise, but I am likely not touching my next bottle for at least 3 to 5+ more years (maybe even longer if I can help it).

  Dang. Dagueneau never disappoints. Opened to celebrate a move to a new place, was a real treat to sip while exhausted and surrounded by moving boxes.
  Just a delightful sauvignon blanc, but definitely needed a little time to open up, I will be hanging on to my other bottle for a while.
