Lifted nose of ripe plums, quince, balsamic, dark cherry, chocolate vanilla, yet good acidity surprises the palate ready for an overripe style. Medium plus fine tanins, long fruity and warm finish

Mavrotragano variety, 100%. Deep ruby with purple highlights. Just-ripe vivid boysenberry, raspberry, blueberry, red cherry, pomegranate, white smoke, cocoa powder, woody wild herbs, and mild allspice. M+ intensity. M+ concentration. M+ acidity. M+ fine-grained tannin. M+/Full body with a nearly-glassy smooth texture on the palate. M finish. I love the producer and the region. Very good, and at this age for this vintage, and with my palate tonight, the QPR isn't quite there. But, I seldom pass up the chance to try a new-to-me variety from a highly-regarded producer!

Took a breath of of a few hours to relax and really shine. Nose was slightly smoky, dark plums and sort of allspice. The oak started as a slight ping in the middle, but faded and then wholly integrated (in about 1 hr) as a base on the texture. Plush and supple. Long finish with red fruits, meaty elements and great intensity.

Better than I expected. A be it of barnyard, but pleasant with cheeses.

Consistent with end point of previous though never faded or wavered. Dark and really vibing fruits.
