  • INTENSELY PLEASING AROMA AND FLAVOUR. WONDERFULLY AGED!

  • Age has turned the colour of the wine to a light garnet with tawny hues and watery rim. Seems to me to be at its peak to drink now with further ageing only leading to decline. This said the wine is delectable. Mature aromas of wild herbs and tea dominate the nose, while body is medium and texture is very fluid with tannins fully resolved. Has a noble rustic character, not in the sense of hard tanins, but in terms of aromas and feel. To accompany rather light meals. Excellent with boiled beef and vegetables.

  • Medium to dark ruby with orange rim. Fragrant and youthful nose with dark cherries raspberry, black tea some cedar and tobacco notes sweet spice. It's impressive how many notes you can detect in this wine. Medium body with well integrated tannins balancing acidity, fruity with tea again, medium finish with minty undertones. Very good balance on one of the best Greek reds I have ever tasted. 93-94.

  • From Magnum. Given to me as a freebie because the cork was pushing itself out a little - suspected to be oxidised.
Was relieved to find that it was fine. More than fine in fact. Perhaps a slight ingress of oxygen did it a favour as it was immediately drinkable despite being quite full-bodied, and had some maturity/development to the flavours.

Really dense at first. Really spicy, herbal and a bit floral, kinda cabernet-like in that it was dense, leathery, sweaty and juicy, and a little minty too. Nice drive of acidity, with integrated chalky tannin and some secondary flavours developing of tobacco and cedar wood. Loved it. Wish I was exposed to quality Greek wine more often.

  • Excellent red wine. Dark ruby color with purple still on the rim. Nose is ripe and generous with redcurrants, licorice, dark cherry jam and raisins and also notes of violets. Combines beautifully freshness with ripeness and use of oak is very good addding sweet spices. In the palate it is medium bodied to full, tannins are hidden behind the generous fruit and acidity is there to give spine to the wine. Nice finish. One of the best Greek reds around. Definitely!
