Limited notes, drank at restaurant. Beautiful combination and integration between varietals. Was not too young to drink; and this was a PNP. Plenty of old school sangiovese character, with typical expression of earth and dust. Cab added just the right amount of ripeness to make it pop ever so slightly.

Ordered this off the menu of this old school Italian restaurant in Chesterfield, Missouri. The mark up wasn't all that bad at $230, which by my calculation was equal to retail + tax + standard $35 corkage. Anyways, this super Tuscan was a natural choice for our setting. It went really well with dinner (lamb chops, eggplant pasta, chilean seabass, and fried calamaris). It was not decanted but poured into our glasses and allowed to develop over the course of the evening. Chocolate, red fruits, and flowers - the nose was intoxicating. I found myself swirling and sniffing every few minutes. On the palate, it was fresh and fruity, yet dry and mouth-coating with silky tannins. Overall, a great experience.

Lovely and surprisingly drinkable for its youth. Black cherry, leather, tobacco, and cedar. Nice tannins. A bit edgy, but will round out over time.

Cheers. This has now been added to my list of must haves. I now understand the Super in Super Tuscan.

Tasted with an Italian dinner in Orlando.
Initially very tannic, but opened up very nicely over the course of dinner.
Notes of red cherry and plum.
If all dishes, paired best with mushroom risotto and veggie pizza.
Nice length on the finish too.
Look forward to trying more Tignanello vintages.
92 points.
