  • dark gold colour and moderately viscous in the glass. rich and complex nose with ripe quince, apple, beeswax, cream, yellow blossoms and even a hint of petrol. silky, round and equally complex in the mouth, it unfolds its charms in a kaleidoscopic parade of flavours (stone fruit, quince, pear) and accents (honey, ginger, amaro herbs, hazelnuts, citric zest). yet all this lushness has a remarkably light touch. very long.

elegant, well-balanced and, drinkable now, this will undoubtedly gain delineation with bottle age. a wine worth seeking out for fans of rich and complex whites. this has upside potential.

well-integrated 15% AbV; 100% Timorasso; sixty-hour skin contact; ageing in mix of stainless and concrete tanks; from the "Costa del Vento" Cru, which reportedly produces the lusher wines. Massa also does bottlings of his two other Crus: "Sterpi", which produces the leaner wines, and "Montecitorio", with wines in an in-between profile.
