Excellent, a real gem to enjoy. Bought this off a restaurant list in Piemonte last year and brought it back home, opened it today to enjoy it in the sunny autumn mountains. So much depth, texture - fascinating notes of bees wax, flowers, sun-dried apricots. Great to drink now, would expect it to at least keep this level for another five years.

PNP into Zalto Universal glass (“Leaf” day): Medium bright copper to the eyes.
Ripe stone fruits like apricots, malt, caramel, black tea.
Bone dry on palate with high acidity and minerality. Very powerful indeed with lots of energy. Very dense and intense notes of preserved lemon, rind, blood orange, malt, cereals and sweet florals.
Powerful white with enough substance to match. 93 points now but clearly much potential in the long run.
Reserved for the next day for longer term observations.
1 week upon opening: Very interestingly some savoury, fresh olive oils, teas.

This is outstanding! Amazing aromas of petrol, honey, and peaches. Balanced on the palate with good minerality and a slight waxiness.

Rome, Florence, Bologna - Delayed 60th birthday trip; 10/19/2021-11/1/2021 (Rome, Florence, Bologna): From the wine list at Antico Arco (Rome). After trying a super young Timorasso at lunch today we decided to try one with a bit more age - so glad we did - this was delicious! Just so much going on here, citrus, spice, ginger, honey, minerals. Loved it.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Deep golden the eyes, good colours.
Distinctive yellow fruits. Burdock and ginseng notes.
Off-dry (?), great acidity and minerality here.
Glycerol notes, white spices.
Largely consistent notes with previously tasted. 93-94 points.
