| Community Tasting Notes (average 92 pts. and median of 92 pts. in 5 notes) | | | Tasted by babnik on 10/22/2009 & rated 91 points: Not hugely expressive at this time, with aroma of cloves and subtle flavors of lemon peel, green apple, river rock, and roasted nuts. Nicely balanced and delicate now but I suspect a few years in the cellar would be the right call with this wine. Excellent but I wish I had paid retail rather than wine list prices for this wine. A full-bodied white wine that is really is something else. An intense anise/licorice character on the nose. Complex flavors of citrus, grass, and roasted nuts -- interesting flavors that don't quite knit together (yet). The palate is slathered in a ton of raw, rugged, drying oak that persists all the way to the finish. My instincts are that this is a much better wine than this showing reflected. Revisit in a couple of years; judgement reserved. (581 views) | | | Tasted by Icarus on 2/24/2009 & rated 93 points: Jadot 2006 at Brad Weiss's House: Vibrant yellow color. Huge nose with a dominant note of anise/licorice coupled with tropical flavors and an endearing nuttiness. Great concentration on the palate, but not overly expressive at the moment. Full bodied. Barely enough acidity. Good length on the finish. Very promising, but will likely always retain an exotic character. (589 views) |

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne)
Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

2007 annata di grande interesse anche per i rossi, leggibili ed espressivi come raramente avviene per i Borgogna così giovani.
