Lovely golden yellow colour and with a nice stream of fine bubbles in the glass. Easily to guess it to be at least two decades younger. Dried fruit at first on the nose, with time it opens up with a lovely truffle note and then transforms into lovely spring flowers. It’s so exciting to sip on a well kept mature bottle, the glass development is just amazing! Still very fresh on the palate with yellow fruit, very nice and citrus driven acidity on the mid. A very nice and lengthy finish showing dried lime zest bitterness with a creaminess. This was an excellent bottle, and it’s easy to judge the content by the outside, but this is a perfect showing bottle that has been stored perfectly for forty years in a French cellar before moved to mine and further stored for another decade...
