Another great 1980 red burg. This was a Tastevin bottling, which I hadn't seen before. Opened to taste before going to the restaurant, it seemed in good shape and a bit simple. By the time we poured it, and with a little air, it was fabulous. Great bottle, good times.

Acker Merrall BYO (Sepia - Chicago IL): Fascinating wine that really improved with a little air. When first opened, this was lean, angular with moderate spice. About 3-4 hours later (not decanted), it was floral, meaty, with more prolific spice and a longer finish. Still not powerful, but a very charming Clos de Beze.

Very fun bottle, that responded very well to air.
