Tasted over 2.5 hrs -dark red mild clearing -somewhat jammy cassis plum boysenberry -med acidity, med weight good concentration gentle slightly earthy plum dusty sweet dark fruit, med fine tannins -on a nice mature plateau now, rather full for a 2007

Chevillon Survey (Brasserie Margeuax): Least favorite of the 07 horizontal. Simple nose of black and red cherry, with little nuance. Palate is sowing ripe, non-delineated and bit clumsy. Maybe it just needs time.

Chevillon study (Chicago, IL): This was a bit of an odd duck in the 2007 lineup. It shows far more ripeness (almost to the point of slight pruneyness) here. Nonetheless, it's not an over-the-top kind of thing, and that ripeness gives this wine heft that it wouldn't otherwise have in the vintage. There's a slightly bruised flavour on the fruit but it's not as bad as it sounds. Overall nicely balanced, if not too complex.

I completely concur with robferguson1. I would add that it goes great with grilled lamb loin chops; and excellent pairing!

This is very typical nsg , it is deep in colour and long in taste and gutsy, drinking well now but long life ahead too.
