PnP'ed (almost) - This was on fire from the get-go. Crazy aromatics - violets, roses, sous bois, orange-peel, sandalwood/spice; Just amazingly complex. Some bricking (at the edges), the palate was extremely fresh, with (fruit - red-to-dark) density to boot too. Excellent finish! Great, just wondering if it'll improve further? Otherwise, this is absolutely in the drinking "zone" right now...

Well now, richebourg... quiet a densely knit wine, lightness, minerality and a little fruit, with outstanding length on light notes. Very much focused on acidity though, eclipsing the tobacco and vanilla notes it undoubtedly has. Good. But not remotely good enough for the price tag and Reputation.

(Gros Frère & Soeur Richebourg) A very pretty floral aspect to the nose, floating above lovely fruit. Width and complexity and intensity. Then a reprise of the flavours after the mid-plate as you go into a super finish. A wine that's so good, it plays tricks on you!

Dark fruits, smoky and muddy. Unacceptable acidity. It has definitely passed the peak.

Stunning Richebourg. Bernard's favorit vintage is in a prime drinking window now.
