Palish, bright ruby. Initially, really rather elevated on the nose, but with a touch of aeration, there comes through more of an elegant, intense crème de mûre note with a bit of sweet vanilla behind. Very open and approachable on the palate. It feels quite fruit forward, and even a touch new worldy, but it retains decent elegance. There's also a touch of greenness, which lends a touch of rusticity.

Very good showing from this exceptional Pomerol-vintage. Classical Pomerol nose; velvety, dark fruit, iron, chocolate and still some noticeable wood but certainly approaching full maturity. Perfect balance, good length and a nice spicy finish. No reason to wait, but will hold for 10+ years.

I think there is upside still to a 92. Opened up nicely after 30 minute carafe. Pomerol earthiness of campfor, rusty pipe and blue fruits. Merlot takes center stage; but Cabernet Franc/Sauvignon brings minerality and pipe tobacco. Really nice aromatics and good concentration. 2008 as a Right Bank vintage is excellent and coming into it’s own now. Shall I say classic? Drink or hold. I reallly good “value” for a classic Pomerol

Deep and dark purple. Very young nose. Lots of oak and chocolate. A medium to full body and pronounced alcohol. This was youthful and needs a lot more time in my opinion.
Served blind at supertanker

Served blind, dark coloured, ripe, big, young, mocha & cappuccino, well made, would have benefited from a 1-2 hour decant, love these 08 Pomerols, be excellent in 2-3 years 92+
