90's Dujac Grand Cru and 2007 Ramonet: Served blind in a flight of 4 2007 Ramonet wines, this had the longest finish -- even longer than what turned out to be the Montrachet. It did also have a bit more bitterness on the finish than the Montrachet. I think this has room to improve, and hopefully will do so without becoming oxidized. I would buy this over the Montrachet for current drinking, given how close in quality they were in the blind tasting, and expect the Montrachet to be the better wine in 5-10 years.

Nutty, mature burg nose. Round and ripe on the palate. Creamy texture, rich and long. Seemed much more advanced than the 02 served alongside but still delicious.

A little thin, for sure compared to the B-M 2007 from Sauzet and the Puligny Les Pucelles from H. Boillot 2007. Balance and finesse and good length where the most positive aspects.

La Paulée de Los Angeles Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - Santa Monica CA): Small glass. Wonderfully rich with lots of structure just off-center in the very near background. A rockstar wine tonight.

From magnum, wonderful precision and balance. In this format still young, probably best in 5-10 years.
